We have moved house to one with a lamina hob
JA: Is your hob gas or electric? How old is it?
Customer: Electric we can get the zeros on for each hot plate but cannot get the temp gauges on
JA: How long has this been going on with your hob? What have you tried so far?
Customer: It's been all ok last night is it locked as we have a lock symbol connected to a hot plate and a clock with a red light above them
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: Cant think of anything it's a little baffling as we don't recall doing anything other than switching it on

Without the model number it is difficult. Try pressing and holding the on button longer then 5 seconds and it should remove the lock
