I have managed to disconnect the compressor and the appliance is still on no tripping of the circuit breaker so far. Please what does it mean

Where the appliance is not tripping with RCD with the compressor disconnected but on connecting the compressor the RCD trips this suggests the compressor has an earth leakage fault, this is common where the compressor is allowing power to get to the outside case and power going to earth.

On checking your model of compressor is obsolete, as such a repair to the fridge would not be economical and you should consider replacement rather than repair
