I have a NW 901G oven the problem I am experience is,
JA: Is your oven gas or electric? How old is it?
Customer: on lighting the oven I push the control knob in and select a temperature the ignition is lighting the oven but on release of the control knob the gas flow stops and the ingnition attempts to relight the oven
JA: How long has this been going on with your oven? What have you tried so far?
Customer: It started last Sunday I have not tried to resolve it
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: Not that I can think of at the moment

I am afraid, this indicates the selector switch located behind the knob is faulty, and will need replacement.

As this is a gas appliance, you will have to contact gas safe certified engineer to book repair.
