Hi I have a built in hotpoint cooker sha 33cx iv recently had oven cleaned and they removed door to do so however since putting it back on it seems to be sitting too high which means the oven door is not closing flush against the seal can you help at all please
JA: Is your oven gas or electric? How old is it?
Customer: electric and about 1.5 yrs
JA: How long has this been going on with your oven? What have you tried so far?

Hi, Im Daniel and welcome to Just Answer. Sorry to hear you are having trouble with your oven, Hopefully i can help you on this.

You may get an offer for a phone request, Now im afraid i dont do them as i only do the online chat so if you dont want the phone request then just ignore it.

If its doing this then the hinge isnt siting stright.

Lock the hinges in place and go to lift the door off but refit it again.

You should feel drop onto the hinge receiver and when it does unlock it and the door should close then.

Try this as the issue you have is the door hinges are not sitting on the hinge receiver in the correct place.
