I have a siemens warming drawer matching a built in oven

Customer Question

I have a siemens warming drawer matching a built in oven which dosn't heat. the blue light comes on at the switch when it is turned on, so it is not a fuse. There is no number on the drawer. What do you suggest?
JA: Is your oven gas or electric? How old is it?
Customer: It is electric and about 6 years old. It fits under a built in oven
JA: How long has this been going on with your oven? What have you tried so far?
Customer: It hasn't worked for about 6 months
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: A blue light comes on in each position the switch is set

Please provide its complete model number (starts with E NR, from the label/rating plate located inside the door).

Good day,

Without the information requested in my previous response, I can only give you a general answer however, I hope this helps.

If the drawer is closing completely then I am afraid, this indicates the coupling located behind the drawer and/or heating element is faulty, and will need replacement.

If you want to replace it yourself, you will have to unplug it, and remove the drawer.

Then you can test the heater with a multi-meter, if that tests fine, then replace the coupling.

Alternatively, you may call Siemens at 03448 928 999 to book repair.

If there is anything else I can help you with, please let me know.
