The warning light bonnet of the car is constantly on.

the warning light for the bonnet of the car is constantly on. there is no visible fault and can see no reason why the light should be on

Normally this is down to faulty microswitch which usually part of the latch/lock mechanisim..if the microswitch is sticking or faulty can cause that warning to flag up on the dash without any visable fault with the bonnet as per locking and unlatching etc.. you can try spraying some wd-40 into the latch..dont be liberal with it try getting the red straw right into the mechanism and soak it with the wd-40 and then open and shut the bonnet a few times to work it can also check in at the latch and you should see a small wire coming from it and lead to 2 pin plug check that connected..but the fix for this is replacement of the latch as the microswitch as far as i recall on them is part of the entire mechanisim..i do hope this helps
