Hi..there thanks for getting back..

To replace the fan on these shouldnt generally take no more than hour and half max for anyone who done these before - it should be pretty straight forward for any garage to carry this out - unfortunatly i can't give specifics on labor price - as all garages tend to have their own set hourly rates aswell as where they aquire the replacement fan unit from which im sure you'll understand.but as a ball park figure i can see this being any more then £150 but again the best advice really is to get as many quotes to be honest and pick the best one from reputable garages locally.obviously BMW will be through the any good independant specialist should be able to aquire the parts cheaper wether it be from second hand dealer or specialist mini spares company some of which you should be able to find online/locally..the job does involve having to remove the front bumper / crash bar behind it /then the hoses to the radiator removed so coolant system will need refilled and bled again / then the radiator can be removed or pulled slightly forwards to get down the inner side of the rad to undo the clips holding the fan assembly against the radiator and lift out once the fan plug has been disconnected..obviously it will be reversal of removal of the parts removed aswell as mentioned above the coolant system refilled and bled.i do hope this helps...
