Warning triangle constantly on indicating break fluid needs

This answer was rated:

Warning triangle constantly on indicating break fluid needs topping up. However, the fluid is on max. Have you a solution or do you think I should have it computer checked. Thanks

Hopefully i can help..

You dont say what model / year of BMW you have - but they will have level sensor on the brake fluid tell the cars computer if the level reaches critical level which in turn brings on the warning to ensure it gets topped up..that sensor would be something to have check out..the sensor will either be on the cap or the reservior itself..look for a wiring/plug to it.if the sensor is ok and or replaced even..hen as above a diagnostic test will need to be carried out..if you continually loosing fluid..then have your braking system checked out asap for leaks on all braking components/brake lines etc..
