Hi Steve
Im trying to figure out what the problem might be .??
have you had the faults read from the car?
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
Hi Steve
No Faults showing in Garage .
the most likely cause of this issue is a fuel pump failure but proper hands on testing with a BMW scan tool will be required to verify the underlying cause.

You think it has anything to do with running the car with only. 14 miles left in tank the day before at 4.30am heading to the airport.
Our local 24hr service pump out of order .

that is possible. sometimes when you run a vehicle that low it can pick up debris at the bottom of the tank or the pump can overheat.
