you there chap?
I will provide an honest answer. I trust this will be appreciated. Please remember that a low rating PUNISHES me for being honest and that I receive nothing for my time until a positive rating is clicked.thank you for your attention to the rating requirement the first thing to do is check all battery and alternator connections to make sure they are clean and tight, if they are most likely the issue is the altenator going out. in a rare case it could be melting or some other issue at the fuse box, or possibly a failing control unit causing interference for others. the step after checking battery/alt connections is to monitor voltage and replicate the issue (which can mean rigging up a meter so you can monitor while driving. Please let me know if you have further questions. Please do not forget to click a positive rating as this is the only way I receive credit for my answer, thank you. Best wishes with your vehicle.

is replacing the alternator expensive?
moderately. I would also check for any signs of water entry in the boot and under the floor in the boot.
