I have problem with my BMW e30 325i 1987 petrol.

Hi. I have problem with my BMW e30 325i 1987 petrol. (Convertible) Very often when I drive end temperature on the clock is on the middle engine is get off. Then I have to wait about 20 min and it starts again and after about 5-10 miles again off. I change crankshaft sensor and ignition coil and I did clean throttle. Could please write what do you think.

Bad Coolant temp sensor on engine,from what i recall on these old e30's..there are 2 sensors a blue sensor which sends information to the ecu "the one to look at or replace" the other brown sensor sends info to the temperature gauge....Normally the most common cause as per the situation you describe will always be crank , cam sensor or temp sensor related..but its also known too for even aleak anywhere onthe intake system or even a failing fuel pump which is super common to cause problems on them...
