Customer Question

Just bought some new alloys wheels for my e92 335d. The tyres are 10j running 265/30 RJ19 and are rubbing on the arches. What’s the best solution to stop the rubbing? Thinking about stretching the tyres but wondering the best size for the wheels. Thanks in advanced
Assistant: How old are the tires? And have they been a problem in the past?
Customer: No I’ve only just put the wheels on the car so within the last week. The tires need renewing
Assistant: What year is your 335d?
Customer: 2008
Assistant: Are you fixing your 335d yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: No I’m not. Nothing yet
Assistant: Anything else you want the Mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: Just that I would prefer a solution by stretching the tyres but if the springs need changing then so be it

stretching the tyres could provide a handling issue, also not reconmended for a safe ride. The best sollution to your problem would be to raise the suspension via springs if you are wanting to stop the rubbing, or revert to the factory wheels
