Customer: 2009 / x5 E70 Diesel
JA: Are you fixing your X5 yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: No, I normally take the car to BMW service dept or have a local take car of issues. However, i wanted to see if I could address the issue.
JA: Anything else you want the Mechanic to know before I connect you?

Hi my name is ***** ***** you checked the tyres.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I have checked and didn't notice any thing other then the left front water-guard (in-front of the tyre attached to the front bumper) has a tear.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Let's stay with instant messaging.

Is that touching the tyre.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
No, it's in front. it comes off the front bumper, below and behind the parking sensors. I am not sure but when I exceed 35 mph the airspeed may cause the humming sound.

How many miles has it done.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
114,000

You will need to get your wheel bearings checked one has likely to of failed.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
It does not grind or knock when I drive...just a hum. What is the typical cost for replacing wheel bearing.

Wheel bearing's hum when they start to fail and expect 2 / 3 Hrs labour so not to bad.
