Customer Question

My 1996 XJ6 Jag has had battery problems, so I fitted a new battery now I have no ignition light and the battery is fully charged. Is there a reset button or do I have to do something with the ignition key eg the immobiliser? Any help would be appreciated.

The first thing to check is if the alternator is charging the battery ok.

The next would be to check the bulb for the ignition light has not blown.

Under the bonnet there is a fuse box. Fuse 10 (5A) should also be checked in case it has blown or has a bad connection.
