Customer Question

Hi, my 2000 citroen berlingo multispace is jerking/misfiring as i drive, mostly just when i try to accelerate although also now revs staying open and not dropping back after i lift foot off accelerator. Occasional and intermittent poor starting from warm after a journey if left for 20 minutes or so. Mostly starts from cold fine and tickover was ok although more recently the revs not coming back down now.

Are there any warning lights coming on at all?

From what you are describing this is a fuel pressure issue and the cause is Lilly to be the fuel pump getting weak. What I would suggest as a first step is to have the fuel pressure checked when the engine is hot and cold.
