Vw golf 6 series. 2011. On screen it says oil temperature

Vw golf 6 series. 2011.
On screen it says oil temperature which when driving went up to 99%c.
Oil level ok and temperature gauge normal. No warning lights.
Can I continue to drive?

assist you with your question.

The issue that you are having is common on these vehicles.The two issues that cause this problem is a failing oil pressure switch or the oil pick up screen in the oil pan is restricted and the flow of oil to the cylinder head is not proper.The more common of the two is the pressure switch especially since you do not have any other symptoms.The vehicle can be driven however I would get it in to a shop as soon as you can to have the switch tested and replaced.
