Rob_Mechanic :

hi. there should be a release mechanism behind the trim directly behind the fuel flap in the boot

JACUSTOMER-laztwdan- :

I don't have tool to remove the trim and I can't take the car anywhere - no fuel

Rob_Mechanic :

check the trim area where you access the bulbs this trim should pull back

Rob_Mechanic :

you should find a plastic pull device this will release the fuel cap

JACUSTOMER-laztwdan- :

ok i'll have a go but it is going to take few minutes as i'm in flat.

Rob_Mechanic :

that's ok I will wait for your reply

JACUSTOMER-laztwdan- :

No luck - the is held bt to plastic trims that need a 6 point star driver to undo them. Does that sound correct to you?

Rob_Mechanic :

it has been sometime since I worked on one of these and from memory I did not think it was that well hidden

Rob_Mechanic :

did you look under the plastic shelf on that side

JACUSTOMER-laztwdan- :

yes that is held by these 6 point scews

Rob_Mechanic :

there is an alternative and that is to force the cap open with a screwdriver they do not take to much to open as it is only retained by a small plastic rod

JACUSTOMER-laztwdan- :

thanks
