I have a 2006 BMW 530D, recently the ABS DSC and Flat Tyre

Customer Question

I have a 2006 BMW 530D, recently the ABS DSC and Flat Tyre Monitoring System have not been working the error codes suggested a faulty wheel speed sensor, this was changed but no improvement. Yesterday the car failed to start with a Battery Discharge warning, after a charge the car started fine with no errors on the ABS DSC etc but these returned after about 5 minutes driving. Parked up over night the car has completely discharged the battery again. After a charge the battery reads 12.4 volts but when the engine is running the voltage increases to 15.7 volts. I believe this is too high and would suggest a faulty alternator? Could this also be the source of the problems with the ABS DSC etc?
