My Doblo diesel 2004 keeps shredding drive belts fitted shorter

This answer was rated:

My Doblo diesel 2004 keeps shredding drive belts fitted shorter belt to bypass AC this lasted 2000 miles tried new tension'er, new alternator, new PS pump belts only lasting 10 miles
2 mechanics are scratching their heads.
I'm sorry to hear you are having such trouble.
Have your mechanics checked the drive belt idler? Usually when a belt gets hot and shreds it leaves little deposits on the idler which damage the new belt.
I would advise a new genuine belt with idler and tensioner.
Let me know how you get on.
