I have got a Citroen Berlingo Multispace, which was adapted

Customer Question

I have got a Citroen Berlingo Multispace, which was adapted for my son, with a ramp in the back. We have had it from new 2000 and it has been a good car. Took it in because of noise and was told needed a new exhaust part, paid over £250. Got it back, had to take it back 3 times because it still was making a noise, I know because the exhaust had to be adapted for the car that it can be difficult to get in to but I got the car back with the electrics not working, I was told that I had wheel bearings needing replaced and the reason for my question:- That my engine had a small crack in it!!! I have not being losing oil or anything, it has been working perfectly since it's last MOT in September 2013 and I have had conflicting advice about what to do. Can you help. Now I know I am just a woman but over the years I have had to learn to do a lot on my own, so I am fairly practical but do not know a lot about cars. The car has been well used it has done over 100,000, so unsure what to do. It is useful to have because if my son's other car same make and model, needs repairs the other car can be used by his support team. I have found an engine from a company called MKL engines and gear boxes, reasonably priced and I was assured it was in good condition. Do I get all this work done or do I scrap the car???
