tvr griffith(rover v8) i have fuel pressure and spark but no apparent pulse on injectors ? what controls the injectors and any idear where its located

the injectors are fired by the ECU in the passnger footwell

1st thing to check is the state of the ECU relay thats also in the passenger footwell as this one and the pump relay just float around on the end of some wires and get a hard time

I'd replace both with new as they're not expensive

if this is OK then check the wiring back from the coil into the loom and the ECU as the coil is switched by the trigger inside the distributor and the ECU piggybacks off this signal to give engine speed

as you have spark then the dizzy speed pickup is OK and its amplifier is also OK

Hi Matt, I 've only just got your reply to my question , i fixed the problem it was a earth wire that hadn't been tightened properly 6 years ago when a tvr garage had replaced the head gaskets,it was located on top of the inlet manifold towards the back of the engine under the air intake/throttle body. but thanks for your help.Steve
