Hi there, I am buying a Mercedes 300sl convertible the problem is when i accelerate hard the oil light come on and the oil pressure gauge goes down (oil level ok) but when driving normal every is ok oil light off and good oil pressure Also when i indicate the seat belt light come on, When i got in the car i moved the seat right back and right down (i am a big guy) I have been told the it is the wires under the seat causing the problem or is it more serous ? The seat belt light is most likely chaffed or worn wires under the drivers seat, this was common on these models, the wires would just need to be repaired to correct this issue.
As for the oil light this sounds like a partial blockage in the oil flow from the oil pump, a engine flush will likely cure this problem.
