My yeti has developed a metallic-sounding "clunk" ostensibly

Customer Question

My yeti has developed a metallic-sounding "clunk" ostensibly in the region of the offside front wheel when encountering a significant bump or depression in the road. On a rough road surface, it is more the sound of pebbles in a box. On a smooth problem. It was in the Service dept over Christmas and NY...they told me they had tightened everything they could and it was ready for collection. Having returned home and travelling the roads I normally use, it is clear that the problem is not solved...I tend to turn the radio up to mask the sounds. I wrote to the Service Dept last week and to date have had no response. What should my response be?

Ross :

Hello and thanks for trusting me to help you today. I am a licensed diagnostic and repair technician, I look forward to working with you.

Ross :

With regards ***** ***** response from the service department, they should offer to Inspect the car again to trace the fault and as you have a warranty on the car. It is your right to have this replaced as per the warranty terms and conditions. they may simply offer for you to re-book an appointment along with an apology for the inconvenience.

They will take a look at the car again to see if they can find the fault second time around, however I would recommend upon receiving the response you give them a call, ask for the car to be booked in and inspected by a different technician, we can all make mistakes and the technician may have simply over looked the problem and although this is not really good enough these things do happen but you can ask for a different technician or preferably a Master technician if available to carry out the inspection.

If you have any further problems, ask for a copy of the job card for your records and make a phone call to Skoda UK help line, explain the situation, they will be very happy to help and can work with both your self and the service department to get the problem fixed.
