Pretty sure they have an adjuster arm on the opposite shoe.correct? - to the one that cable is attached to via the lever which it actuates - they are from what i recall - self adjusting once the drums back on - the adjustment lever looks like the shape of a foot on the base it has small teeth and below that will be small brass part thats sprung loaded with a small hole in it with the same teeth holding the adjuster in should be able to stick a largish flat head screwdriver into that brass part and turn it/or actuate it down to so that the adjuster lever can move to allow the shoes to retract towards themselves so as to create enough room to slide the drum back long both shoes retract towards themselves and the brake cylinder on both sides is full in..then the drum should slide on..maybe clean up the lip first on the drum before doing so - not as above when you say expand them...Does this help..if you require to ask anything further then please do before you rate
