Hi, i have a ford ranger 2006 2.5 tdci and i overfilled with diesel and ever since then it cuts out. Its been on a diagnostic computer and it says its a fuel leak but its not. Any ideas and thanks

When it cuts out it is usually going up an incline or accellerating quite hard
Hi there good morning to you And sorry for the delayed response Ok do you know the fault code that was logged Was its definition a large fuel leak Kind regards ***** ***** Brian

Hi Brian
I dont know the code and i cant get it checked again for two weeks has i am away working. I am hoping its nothing serious as i have just drove 400 miles towing a caravan!!!!
Hi there thanks
Ok the most common concern we see regarding your issue is a blocked -partially blocked fuel filter
This causes this concern with a fault code relating to a large fuel leak detected
This would always be the first port of call with your type of issue on the ranger 2.5 Variant
If you need anymore help or advice on this issue please let me know
If you are Completely satisfied with my answer /advice
Kind regards ***** ***** and have a nice day

Hi Brian, thanks for the advice i will try fitting a new fuel filter as soon as i get a chance. I am going to rate you 5☆ and if it doesn't fix the problem i will request you again. Thanks very much for your time and expertiseCheers Nik
Hi Nik good evening to you
No worries
As you can understand it can be difficult to diagnose issues like this online but using y experience and technical knowledge I try to give my customers an honest assement of there fault
After fitting the filter you should ideally have all the codes noted then cleared incase the fault arises again there fire if it does we know the code logged is live and relavent to our issue
Kind regards ***** ***** Nik and have a nice evening
