Re 2012 Audi A6 Allroad with 88,000 on the clock. When would the cambelt normally be changed and what questions should be asked re suspension hydraulics ?

you don't say what engine model you're looking at ? but

What to watch out for generally is :

Avoid 19-inch wheels and 20-inch wheels as they cost a fortune in tyres for a minor increase in grip

Problem reported with factory fitted optional extra panoramic glass sunroofs on Audi A6 Allroads. where they begin to leak around the frame

Car is 2012 3.0 with 18 inch alloys so can you tell me when one might reasonably expect the cambelt to be changed ?

OK if this is the petrol TFSI engine then it has a chain which will last at least 150K miles

if its the diesel then its also a chain and these last a bit longer typically 180-200K miles

if you hear a rattle on startup then its the 1st sign that the chain/s ( there are 3) or its tensioner / s may need replacing
