zafira 1.7 designe 12 plate esc warning comes on for no apparent reason and when it does the indicators won't cancel on auto.I've disconnected / reconnected the battery and all that has done bring up a fault on the window lifters , they only operate as long as you hold the button

Hello! My name is Gary.
Welcome to JustAnswer.
I'm reviewing your question now, and will post back with a reply shortly.

Hello Alan,

You'll need to get a scan for codes, but your symptoms point to a steering angle sensor or CIM module under the steering wheel.

The windows lose their auto function when you disconnect the battery.

Lift the window to the top and hold the switch for a few seconds.

Repeat for all doors.

hi Gary
i take that this means i'll have to get the car into a garage to get it scanned
regards Alan

Hi Alan,

Yes, your local workshop should be able to scan it.

If they have difficulty, then a Opel or Vauxhall dealer is your next option.

I hope your windows are reset now.
