Hi there, ive got power steering fluid coming out of the boot on the push rod to the wheel im starting to thinl i need a new rack?
Assistant: When was the fluid last checked? Have you heard any whining noises while turning the wheel?
Customer: It started 2 days ago i topped the fluid up and it was making a whining noise but when after a couple of turns of the wheel but no leak and today its leaking constantly
Assistant: What is the make/model/year of your car?
Customer: Mk4 Golf 1.8 tdi pd(###) ###-####Assistant: Are you fixing your vehicle yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Not tryed to fix it myself because i have no clue what im doing

Hey dude i was wandering whether in need a new rack or it's just a seal thats corroded

It is a recon rack you need are you fixing it yourself.

Theres alot of power steering fluid coming from the boot around the steering push rod on the passenger side

Im going to order 1 online tonight but i wont be fitting it myself

ok expect to pay for about 3 hrs labour plus tracking .

Not on a driveway ect it gets very messy with oil dripping all over you other parts just fluid and for the cost put new track rod ends on.
