I have just bought a 3 year old 200CTh fro Lexus in Belfast. Some of the icons on the dash puzzle me.
JA: How long has this been going on?
Customer: Is there any simple explaination???
JA: What is the model/year of your Lexus?
Customer: 2016 CT200h
JA: Are you fixing your vehicle yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: I'm not trying to fix anything, I'm just trying to figure out what some of the icons on the dash mean
JA: Anything else you want the Mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: No

I have a manual. I bought the car from the main Lexus dealer
in Belfast and it came fully equipped.I merely wanted help with the ‘hibrid’ side of things, as it’s the first
such car I’ve had.Sure, I can drive it fine, but there are still odd bits and pieces I don’t

Ok.. well what icons are you needing help with?

For example, the black rectangular switch, marked P, on the central console. What is its purpose?

Thats the Park position switch..when the vehicle is fully stopped and parking brake is press the P switch to put the car in should see a P symbol come up on the gear position indicator image on the shift the have to be pressing the brake pedal before hand to be able to shift into gear... the P switch is just like the old automatic gear selector when you shifted into PARK..but instead you just press that button
