This answer was rated:

2003 Range Rover - starter motor stops cranking engine after about 1 to seconds. Just stops dead. Turning off ignition then retrying gives same results. Battery is fully charged. Eventually starter motor cranks engine for 5 seconds and engine starts but very rarely. regards, Ken.
JA: When you turn the key, do you get a single loud click, or a series of rapid ones?
Customer: A loud click i think
JA: Are you fixing your Range Rover yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Hello pearl, no, I haven't tried anything, I'm limited on know-how although happy to do things with instructions.
JA: Anything else you want the Mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: No, i think that's it. thanks.

yes, if you can but prefer answer on email or text. thanks, Ken.

As you describe it it is getting the voltage supply so I would expect the starter motor internals have burnt out.
