Vince again. Can you help with an error coded up on my OBDII

This answer was rated:

Hi Steve, Vince again.
Can you help with an error coded up on my OBDII
'P062F. Internal control module. EEPROM error'
What I've read on Internet forums,,,,, they talk about linking to a laptop computer and adjusting Ecu settings.
In your opinion, should I take the car to these re-mapping guys I see advertised, or is there another hands on procedure I can do?

Hi Vince

Sorry for the delay I had to pop out for a bit.

If you have the software you can have a go but you would need to purchase something like this so the cheapest and quickest option would be to use a re-mapping guy.

The other option would be to remove the ECU and send it to these guys who should be able reset it and repair if needed.

There is no shortcut for this one.

Thanks for the advice Steve. No point in swearing at it in French then?

Always good for the soul :)
