JA: What is the model/year of your motorcycle?
Customer: 2017 2018 sorry
JA: Are you fixing your bike yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: It's a battery had service 2month ago and batter change
JA: Have you tested the battery with a voltmeter? And can you see if it's leaking or not?
Customer: No...we don't have anything in the house
JA: Anything else you want the Mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: Nothing else i was off only 2 days before discovered that
Customer: replied 7 months ago.
Morning...i will wait...thanks
good morning, will the bike start up
Customer: replied 7 months ago.
My husband is at work this am and the day before didn't start
do you have any accessories on the bike such as an alarm. heated grips etc
Customer: replied 7 months ago.
I don't have any accessories with me
the cold weather can have a bad effect on battery life, also the accessories listed above can drain it.
you have had it replaced 2 months ago correct?
Customer: replied 7 months ago.
ok so something is definitly draining it, is the bike kept in a garage overnight
Customer: replied 7 months ago.
No outside unfortunately
a battery should last longer than 2 months for sure, i would look down the lines of a insulated battery bag to prevent the cold from damaging the battery. a good charge with a battery charger and try to keep the bike warm overnight. anything below 3 degrees can upset the chemical balance in the battery causing low voltage.
if the battery doesnt take a charge it may be damaged and need replacing again
do you still require assistance
