JA: Do you have a scan tool to read the codes?
Customer: Only a obd11 reader i cleared the code but it keeps coming back
JA: What is the model of your '60 Ford?
Customer: Ford smax titanium with a power shift gearbox ll60 ovh
JA: Are you fixing your vehicle yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: I'm just try to find the fault before I book it in
JA: Anything else you want the Mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: I just need to find out what is wrong before I get ripped off

Hiya

The code you have supplied comes back as Shift Solenoid (Performance or Stuck).

Potentially you could be looking at the solenoid itself, wiring to the solenoid or the conrtrol module. It would need further investigation to determine which part needs replacing.

Hi thanks is the solenoid on the outside of the box or inside

Hiya

If memory serves me correctly they are inside the transmission assy. You take the sump off usually and there is a plate in the bottom that contains a number of solenoids which control the oil flow to clutches and brake bands.

I have changed these in the past however you need clean facilities to work on Auto Transmissions and hence this is usually classed as specialised work.
