Hi my name is***** am here to assist you Today have you got a metal hammer to give it a bit more of a shock.

Customer: replied 15 days ago.
I've been tapping it with the metal hammer, but didn't want to hit it too hard
Customer: replied 15 days ago.
I also put a dribble of wd40 on it and instantly thought that might have been stupid

You have to hit them hard sometimes.

Customer: replied 15 days ago.
Will the wd40 be okay?
Customer: replied 15 days ago.
where on the drum should I hit hard - and where should I not hit at all?

Get the drum free first hit it all round the outside.

Customer: replied 15 days ago.
Ah, I read somewhere that hitting the outside is not a good idea - might crack the drum?

Thank you it will be fine carry on.

Customer: replied 14 days ago.
Okay, so the drum is creaking as I turn it, sounds like there's still something running on the inside - will that go away if I get out and use the brakes a fair bit, to knock the rust off?
Customer: replied 14 days ago.

It will go away in a few miles.
