JA: What is the make/model/year of your car?
Customer: Vauxhall Astra 2007
JA: Are you fixing your Astra yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: yes. I have replaced the blower motor. Worked fine for a couple of months. Now the blower had stopped again. No setting (1-4) works. All fuses are fine.
JA: Have you checked the vehicle's manual yet?
Customer: Yes
JA: Is there anything else the Mechanic should know before I connect you? Rest assured that they'll be able to help you.

Have you got a multi meter.

Just a 4 speed blower setting

Does it work on the number 4 setting.

Thanks Gavin. I’ve taken the motor out and the plastic surrounding the positive wire into the resistor has melted.

No, I haven’t. Should the plastic have been removed?

Replace the connection with Fully Insulated Blue Female Electrical connector see image.
