Does MVP or any type of valve regurgitation cause a sensation

This answer was rated:

Does MVP or any type of valve regurgitation cause a sensation of the heart or pulse to vibrate or tremor?
Hello. I'm Dr. Phil, licensed and practicing internist. Excellent service is my goal.
Yes it can if its severe
it depends on how bad it is
Customer: replied 3 years ago.
I am experiencing this "buzzing" sensation pretty much everyday in my pulse. I also have an elevated pulse rate..around 95 in the afternoons and 120 with minimal exertion.
Ecg is normal but shows IRBBB
I have no pain but I feel a forceful pulse when I am at rest. Sometimes it feels like my body rocks with every beat and I notice the pulse bouncing on my stomach.
What are your thoughts on this?
What tests should I go for?
You need an echocardiogram for sure to evaluate
Plus a holter monitor to track your heart rhythm
Customer: replied 3 years ago.
Would regurgitation or prolapse always be present or could it be intermittent?
Is regurgitation is present, could ever resolve itself over time?
Which valve is most likely to cause these symptoms?
Always present
No it doesn't just go away
Mitral or aortic are the most likely

I am due to have an MRI, would that pick up Regurgitation or Prolapse?
Should I ask for an Echocardiogram or will the MRI be sufficient?
MRI is better than echo. You are on the right track
