My father has had tests for suspected heart failure and has been given these results:-
Normal LV cavity mild concentric LVH, preserved LV systolic function, moderately dilated left atrial volume, SEVERELY dilated right atrium, mildly dilated right ventricle with preserved function, raised PA pressure suggesting possible pulmonary hypertension, mild to moderate TR & MR. Blood pressure 175/94
Stage 3 Kidney disease, type 2 diabetes, high potassium level.
We understand his health is very poor but what is his prognosis. He is on diuretics as he just blows up with pitted odema.

With proper treatment he could live 2 years. I bet he has sleep apnea. Is he on CPAP?

Before he was put on diuretics he struggled to breathe lying down, he had fluid on his lungs and ascites. He slept upright. I'm not aware of him having a CPAP machine. He can't move much as he's awaiting knee replacement. My sister and I feel he is at high risk for this op but he's prepared to take the risk . He also has atrial fibrillation
