Hello doctor ,
About 3 weeks ago , I started experiencing heart palpitations. It s feels like a skipped beat followed by strong a strong one , or my heart flopping . It was happening onece a day at the beginning and now I can get it like 10 times a day . Things that might be triggering it are cigarettes, food . It can happen anytime , suddenly , and last for a couple of seconds only, but it is always followed by à panick attack and anxiety . I have seen a cardiologist about 2 months ago because I was experiencing a sharp chest pain , he did and ECG and an echocardiogram but both were fine . I also did an another ECG 2 days ago at the emergency which was fine . I m planing to visit a cardiologist tomorrow . Can this palpitations be a sign a sign of serious heart issue ? It s not accompanied with any other symptoms except anxiety .

No doctor

These are pretty normal symptoms at your age.

Probably benign PVCs

nothing to worry about

is this helpful?

Customer: replied 12 months ago.
Ok , but it is really scary and causing me anxiety. Is there a way to stop them ?
Smoking is a major trigger

But it does not mean that my heart is in risk ?

No, not right now.

The heart is fine

You should just work on quitting smoking
