Cardiology Questions? Ask a Cardiologist for Answers ASAP.
Hello. This is Dr Geyik and I will be assisting you today.
Can I please ask your age/gender and if you have any other medical conditions or allergies, or take medications?
ECG looks irregular and erratic but that could be due to moving a lot and may not represent your true ECG.
Do you have any chest pain, other pain, breathing difficulties, sweating, dizziness, cough, or other symptoms?
Are you sending another ECG?
This one looks more regular.
At the moment do you have any shortness of breath or chest pain or palpitations?
Do you have any ECGs from the past few days at all so that I can compare them?
Are you sure that you were sitting still when checking your ECG today? The previous ECGs look much better but the ones from today appear quite erratic.
We need to make a decision based on your symptoms; so if you have any palpitations plus some breathlessness, it is better to go to A+E for full assessment and proper ECG.
If you feel well in yourself, you can wait and speak to your GP tomorrow.
You can repeat your ECGs a few more times and try to remain as still as possible and if they are still erratic and you have symptoms, you should go to A+E for full assessment.
You are most welcome.
