I'm sorry that your question wasn't answered in a timely manner. Milo's symptoms of lethargy, somnolence, and anorexia are important symptoms but they're not pathognomonic (specifically indicative) of any one disorder. In these cases I need to assess the urgency of his being attended to by his vet. Please do a few things for me... 1) Check his gum and tongue color. They should be nicely pink - not whitish (anemia) or bluish-greyish (cyanosis/lack of oxygen to his tissues).2) Check his respiratory rate at rest. He should be taking less than 40 breaths/minute.3) Take his rectal temperature. Any body thermometer placed 1" into his rectum for 1 minute will do. Normal is 38-39.2C. This is a two-person job! Please let me know what you find. Have any other symptoms appeared? Does he feel "hot"? Is he lame? Are there painful swelling(s) anywhere? Does he go outside and associate with other cats and possibly was bitten by them? Vomiting, diarrhea, sneezing, coughing?
