Customer Question

She has been vomiting for the past few day. Dry looking, light brown type of vomit
Assistant: I'm sorry to hear that. Hopefully it didn't make a mess. Did the cat eat anything unusual?
Customer: Not sure. She is a le to go outside and she does the vomiting at about 4am. She is fed by dry food usually
Assistant: What is the cat's name and age?
Customer: Lucy, she is 9 years old
Assistant: Is there anything else important you think the Veterinarian should know about Lucy?
Customer: She seems healthy otherwise, wants more food. Long haired. They might be hairballs but i see no hair in the vomit.

Hello & welcome, I am Dr. B, a licensed veterinarian and I would like to help you today.

Is the vomit brown like her food or like coffee grounds?

Can she keep water down?

Are her gums pink or white/pale? Moist or sticky?

If you press on her belly, any tensing, tenderness, discomfort, or pain?

Could she have eaten anything harmful (ie bones, toys, plants, chemicals, human meds, etc)?

Any diarrhea?
