He is not on medication. He is not drinking or eating, he has been like this for about four hours

mostly just gagging and he just threw up a little white foam now, but has been gagging for around four hours

You can also offer a little yogurt to help settle the stomach. If he continues too long and gets dehydrated then we may need to be seen at ta veterinary clinic. However if we can help to calm his GI tract, rest it, only soft food like canned food, possibly some sliced meat or poultry in small pieces. Main thing is to focus on keeping hydrated.
