Hello, you are through to Dr Linda, a UK based vet.

I'm sorry to hear Socks has not been herself and understand your concern.

Has she had her vaccines and first vet check?

Any other signs such as vomiting, diarrhoea, a reduced appetite, fast breathing or pale gums?

Customer: replied 10 days ago.
I was told that they were wormed and flea treated by a vet when i adopted them. I have them booked for first vaccines next week.No other symptoms, i thought she seemed a little cold maybe, she's finding the warmest place to sleep all day

Thank you.

Do you have a rectal thermometer that you could take her temperature with?

Has she eaten all of her meals today?

Have you seen her pass normal poo and pee today?

Customer: replied 10 days ago.
She ate this morning and this evening, picked a little in the afternoon. We have seen her using the little tray today.
Customer: replied 10 days ago.
Ive only the forehead scanning thermometer
Expert:  Dr L Simmon replied 10 days ago.

Ok, that is reassuring.

Unfortunately those thermometers are not accurate in pets.

Her ears are usually a good indicator of her temperature and should be warm- they should feel the same as her sisters.

Any chance she has had access to a toxin such as a lily plant, raisins, chocolate, cleaning products or human medicine?

Customer: replied 10 days ago.
Their ears feel the same temperature. No to any of those toxin, rhey only thing she got was a crayon yesterday but i thought i got it all from her.

Ok, thank you.

Lethargy by itself can have many causes including an infection, abdominal pain, toxin ingestion, nausea, a source of pain (e.g. a back strain) etc.

So, without examining her, it is hard to say what may be going on.

It is a good sign she is still eating and has no other symptoms.

I would be tempted to let her have a good sleep and see how she is tomorrow morning. If still not right, a vet visit would be best in case we are missing something.

Ok, thank you so much for your advice. I'll see how she is in the morning and go from there

Not at all.

Wishing her a speedy recovery.
