My cat is drooling, very lethargic also.
JA: I'll do all I can to help. How long has the cat been lethargic? Any changes in appetite?
Customer: If anything,more hungry,she wont drink any water though.
JA: Could she have eaten something unusual?
Customer: I dont know,possibly.
JA: And what's the cat's name and age?
Customer: Suki,she is about 14,not too sure as I rescued her .
JA: Is there anything else the Vet should know?
Customer: I live with my back garden facing a field,there are a couple of feral cats,,who try to get in my house,when I have door open,

I'm sorry to hear about this with Suki. If she's truly polyphagic (increased hunger) without an increase in water intake this is most consistent with hyperthyroidism. If she were drinking excessively, diabetes mellitus is a consideration. Sui's vet will want to perform a complete physical exam including diagnostics in the form of fasted (at least 4 hours but never restrict water) blood and urine tests. Imaging in the form of X-rays and ultrasound might be recommended as well. You should know within 24 hours how Suki might be helped.
