Hi, cat not in pain and is eating normally but we have just noticed that she has stopped using the litter tray. She has urinated but I have not seen any poo for a couple of days now. She has free access outside via a cat flap

Thanks for your question. Just to clarify your concern is that Luna has not passed visible faeces for 2 days but is using her litter tray to urinate? Is that correct?

Customer: replied 17 days ago.
Hi there, we have 2 cats... One of them has urinated and passed food through
Customer: replied 17 days ago.
Luna has urinated but I haven't seeen any signs of poo
Customer: replied 17 days ago.
She does go outside a lot so I was wondering if she might have started to do her business outside
Expert:  Dr Chris replied 17 days ago.

OK. Yes I would think that is the most likely explanation. If she were constipated we would expect to see some evidence of this (straining, hard dry faeces etc). Do monitor for any such symptoms and take her to the vet if noted, but as you say I suspect she is simply pooing outside.

I hope that answers your question? Please let me know if you need any further help or advice
