My cat has been blocked before ans also struggled with spasms in the urethra. I believe he is having spasms agaib
JA: I'll do all I can to help. How long has the cat had this spasm?
Customer: A bout 1 day but he has managed to urinate
JA: Does the cat ever go outside? Is he taking any medications?
Customer: He doesn't go outside. He has cystaid to help but no other medications at the moment
JA: And what's the cat's name and age?
Customer: Max age 7
JA: Is there anything else the Vet should know?
Customer: He's overweight. We have started a special diet that is good for urinary tract and obesity management x

Hello, this is Dr Linda, a UK based vet.

I'm so sorry to hear Max is having this issue.

The worry is that he could become blocked quickly without intervention.

It is good he is on a special diet but, at this stage, he requires anti-inflammatories and antispasmodics.

It is best he sees his vet who can prescribe these asap.
