Customer Question

Hi I found a kitten in my partners garden today. I think it’s about 2 months old. She is missing some fur above her eye. I’m wondering where I can get her checked over
JA: Hi there. I'll do all I can to help. Is her skin bumpy or itchy as well?
Customer: there’s a bump behind her ear
JA: What's the kitten's name?
Customer: well I only found her today but I’ve nicknamed her socks as her feet are white
JA: Is there anything else the Vet should know?
Customer: shes very nervous, probably because she’s been outside since birth

Poor thing, well done for helping her.

Looking at this skin lesion, one concern I would have would be a condition known as Ringworm which is actually a fungal infection, this can potentially be passed to humans so do make sure to wash your hands well after touching her.

As for where you can take her, so you have a vets locally that you have used before? If not I would suggest trying to find one via word of mouth, or otherwise a quick Google search should provide you with the nearest veterinary practice to you.

Please let me know if you need any further help or advice.

I was concerned about ringworm so I’ve regularly been washing my hands. I think manor vets is nearest to me. I’ll get her in asap thankyou

OK great. They can also check her for a microchip, although it is unlikely that she will be chipped at such a young age.
