Ask a Cat Question, Get an Answer ASAP!
Hello, you are through to Dr Linda, a UK based vet with 10 years of clinical experience working out of West London. It will be my pleasure to help you today.
What age is this kitten?
Do you mean cow's milk?
And she is eating her regular kitten food well?
And she is growing and healthy?
Ok, sure thing.
And what would be the purpose for doing this? As a treat?
So typically this would not be recommended.
It contains lactose and is high in fat so can cause a stomach upset.
A better treat would be e.g. a piece of chicken or morsel of wet kitten food.
I hope this answers your question.
Is there anything further I can help with tonight?
This is not advised until they have been fully vaccinated and dewormed.
At this point, we can carry the kitten outside for exposure to the outside world or bring them out on a secure harness.
They must not be allowed out by themselves until neutered and older (usually about 6 months of age).
Not at all and have a lovely evening.
