Re: UK Chrysler Grand Voyager CRD 2.8L 129,000 miles Hi

Customer Question

Re: UK 2007 Chrysler Grand Voyager CRD 2.8L 129,000 miles Hi Mike, please advise regarding the following: 1. DTC code P 0402 (EGR Excessive) Suspect sensor or EGR solenoid. Have pulled off and blocked vacuum pipe to EGR valve as a temp measure. Runs the same (normal with normal idle) but still records same DTC code after about 3 start stop cycles. Is tere a simple way to check that EGR valve is fully closed. If so con I drive it like this? If so would I need to remap ECU to stop this DTC P0402? 2. Maybe related? Hard starting from cold. Easy start when warm. No info center lights come on on top of dash either when switch on for check or later so can't see any glow plug lamp come on or go off. Waiting a while for glow plugs to warm up doesn't help so wondering if glo plugs are working at all? Takes maybe 3 to 4 go's on the starter for +- 5-10 seconds each to start at around 50 degrees F. Could it be the relays or maybe all fouled up from too much EGR soot? Just bought it so no idea how long its been running like this. How do I fix the dash info center warning lights panel so I can see whats going on? Thanks & Regards, Brian
