I have a F-Series IP Camera, which I'm trying to add to our network. I'm accessing our home/office ethernet network with a Win7 laptop via WiFi.
Instructions on the camera label are brief: User Name = admin, Password = none, Default IP and Remote access =
Camera is powered. However when I enter either of the above addresses in my Chrome (or IE browser) after a 1 min pause, it returns the login page to my Zytel router which is
Can you please explain what I should be doing to gain access to the camera?
Hello and thank you for choosing order to connect to the CAMERA directly, you need the cameras IP address. And since the IP address you entered belongs to the Zyxel router, that is obviously NOT the correct IP address..In order to find out WHAT the IP is for the camera, you nee to scan the network and look for all USED ip address's. You might also be able to check this in the Zyxel router. Look for the DHCP table, and it will show you what IP address;s have been used on your network, and with a generic name, and your camera SHOUDL be listed. But im not sure what the Zyxel will display..You can also use a network finder for IP address, called ADVANCED IP FINDER.
I can do this FOR YOU with a remote session....would you like to do that?
No problem, we don't have to do a remote session, it would just make it easier on you is all..Did you have a follow-up question?.Were you able to connect to the camera now?

I double-clicked on the camera entry in the IP results, and that's given me access to the admin screen of the camera, but there's another problem.

I'll add that as a follow-up question.

Okay, no problem....would you please take a moment to rate my performance when you get a chance..I await your follow-up Q
